Welcome Little Sea Stars!!

Little Sea Stars LLC is a provider of ISR method swim lessons. Infant Swimming Resource offers the safest survival swimming instruction method available. Lessons are taught in a customized, one-on-one lesson environment, and foster the development of swimming and safety in infants and young children with ISR’s proprietary Self-Rescue™ program. With over 45 years of research and development, highly trained certified Instructors committed to safety, and a proven history of success, parents can rest assured that their children are receiving the best possible instruction in the world today. ISR believes that parents should take a multilayered approach towards drowning prevention including pool barriers and effective parental supervision. Even if a child has completed lessons, parents must understand that no child is “drown proof” and there is no replacement for active, effective parental supervision.

What's Will Your Child Learn?

Infant Swimming Resource’s proprietary Self-Rescue™ survival swimming program is a 4–6-week course, scheduled 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, for 10 minutes each day. With a focus on safe, customized, one-on-one lessons by certified Instructors, ISR’s survival swimming lessons emphasize health, ongoing program evaluations and parent education to deliver the most effective and safest results in the industry. Children may begin lessons at 6 months of age until 6 years of age. Once the children are fully skilled, they will practice ISR’s survival techniques fully clothed during lessons. It is recommended that children complete refresher lessons to help their in-water skill level grow with their physical development.

Keeping Our Children Safe

3 Lines of Defense Against Drowning:

Effective Adult Supervision:

Constant Eyes On Incorporate segmented supervision by designating a specific period of time to devote your complete and undivided attention to your child who is around the water. E.g. For 15 minutes, give your child 100% of your attention - do not answer the phone or turn your back, even for “just a second”. Designate one parent as the Water Watcher so there is no confusion as to which adult is responsible for watching your child.

Barriers to Entry:

Fences, gates and alarms the second line of defense is appropriate fencing around your pool, and locks to prevent access to the pool and pool alarms. Pool fences should be at least 4 feet high and should be permanently installed around the pool. A self-latching gate is a critical feature.

Survival Swimming Lessons:

Like those taught by ISR Infant Swimming Resource provides the safest and most comprehensive survival swimming lessons world-wide. For over 45 years, children 6 months to 6 years old have been learning ISR Self-Rescue™ techniques, teaching them skills that give them confidence and competence in the water.
